On Christmas day once all of the family have finished their Christmas dinner the only think to do next if to play some Christmas games. I love playing games with my family as we do not get the chance to do it that often these days and it bring out our competitiveness that we use to have when we were younger. These are 5 of our favourite games to play:-
1 – Rapidough
The game is one of my favourite to play with my family because it is so easy to play so family members of all ages are able to play it. This game has come out every year over the last few years and even my nans enjoy playing it.
2- Monopoly
Monopoly is the ultimate family game and it always get the competitiveness out in my siblings and I. This year I have even bought the cheater version of monopoly for a family member this year so I am really excited to play this.

Christmas Film Favourites

One of my favourite things about Christmas is watching Christmas films. When it is cold outside I love nothing more than getting cosy and watching a Christmas film. Over the years I have watched many Christmas films but here is a list of a few of my favourite ones:-
1- The Grinch
The Grinch is one of my most favourite Christmas films so much so that every year for Christmas my mom buys me Grinch Christmas pyjamas. If you haven’t seen already Primark always has really nice Grinch pyjamas. I have always loved watching the Grinch as it is a good feel good film and I usually leave this to watch on Christmas Eve Night.
2- Annabelle’s Wish
Annabelle’s Wish is one of those films that nobody else has ever heard of. It was a film that I was brought one Christmas when I was younger that I loved so much that I make sure that I watch it most years even now. It is a cartoon film about a cow called Annabelle who wants to be a reindeer. It is a super cute film for young children.
3- Home Alone
I think everyone loves to watch home alone at this time of year. Its one of those films that I never actually think about watching but I always find it on TV somewhere and end up watching it. This films also reminds me of my childhood.
4- Miracle on 34th Street
Miracle on 34th Street is the must see film this time of year. I love to watch this film and often watch it more than once. It is the perfect film to put you in the mood for Christmas.
5- The Holiday
The holiday is not always the most typical Christmas film but it is one of those films that I really enjoy watching over the Christmas period because it is very light hearted.
6- Jack Frost
I have watched Jack Frost every year since my sister was brought it one Christmas when we were younger. Even though it starts off really sad; it is still a really great family film to watch.

There are many more Christmas films that I love but these are the ones that I make sure that I watch every year to get me in the Christmas spirit ready for Christmas day.

Podcast Life 2

Today I listened to the podcast that Joe Rogan recently did with Macaulay Culkin.
Growing up I loved watching Home Alone and Richie Rich so I couldn’t wait to listen to this podcast as I haven’t heard that much about him since I was younger so I was intrigued to see what he is like nowadays.
The first thing I thought was….how normal does he seem considering he was a massive child star.
The second thought was…. Wow I can’t believe he is 37!! I always presumed he was younger.
Macaulay only does occasional acting jobs now but enjoys, painting, writing and has recently set up a comedy website. He even calls himself a man of leisure now.

Apparently he is also doing a podcast so I think I might have to check it out!
The whole blog was really enjoyable and it was really interested to see what Macaulay is up to now and to see what he is like in real life. He generally sounded like he was in a really good place and enjoying his life at the moment.

I am so going to download Richie Rich tonight to watch!!
I am loving these podcasts at the moment!

Take Back Tuesday

When I was younger we used to always go stay on a farm in Aberdaron in Wales. We went most years and I have the best memories from it. My Nan and Grandad used to come as well and sometimes other family members would come to visit while we were there too.
Aberdaron is only a small village surrounded by the most idyllic beaches. There is a similar vibe to Devon with the beaches being quite similar. We used to enjoy exploring the nearby towns and chilling on the beach followed by an evening BBQ.
None of my family had been there for quite a few years but we all have so many great memories. Not so long ago I was staying about an hour away and I decided to go and revisit to see if it was how I remembered it or to see if it had changed. As we started to get closer everything just felt more and more familiar. We arrived in the village and it was really surreal because all of these memories were coming back to me. The village is exactly the same as it was back all of those years ago.
I walked along the beach and I fell back in love with this place and I really would like to go back this summer and take my family with me. I sent them a picture asking them to guess where I was and the instantly knew because I had the picture taken on a wall that we always sat on in the village. My nan even has a painting of the town in her house.
Aberdaron will always be a special place for my family and I and I do hope we continue to visit there in the future.
