On Christmas day once all of the family have finished their Christmas dinner the only think to do next if to play some Christmas games. I love playing games with my family as we do not get the chance to do it that often these days and it bring out our competitiveness that we use to have when we were younger. These are 5 of our favourite games to play:-
1 – Rapidough
The game is one of my favourite to play with my family because it is so easy to play so family members of all ages are able to play it. This game has come out every year over the last few years and even my nans enjoy playing it.
2- Monopoly
Monopoly is the ultimate family game and it always get the competitiveness out in my siblings and I. This year I have even bought the cheater version of monopoly for a family member this year so I am really excited to play this.
3- What do you Meme?
My boyfriend is obsessed with Memes so this was the ideal game to play with him. There are various images from memes and you have to match it with the best captions.

I love playing cards and every family member seems to know a different game. This is a simple game that allows all the family to be able to play together

Christmas Film Favourites

One of my favourite things about Christmas is watching Christmas films. When it is cold outside I love nothing more than getting cosy and watching a Christmas film. Over the years I have watched many Christmas films but here is a list of a few of my favourite ones:-
1- The Grinch
The Grinch is one of my most favourite Christmas films so much so that every year for Christmas my mom buys me Grinch Christmas pyjamas. If you haven’t seen already Primark always has really nice Grinch pyjamas. I have always loved watching the Grinch as it is a good feel good film and I usually leave this to watch on Christmas Eve Night.
2- Annabelle’s Wish
Annabelle’s Wish is one of those films that nobody else has ever heard of. It was a film that I was brought one Christmas when I was younger that I loved so much that I make sure that I watch it most years even now. It is a cartoon film about a cow called Annabelle who wants to be a reindeer. It is a super cute film for young children.
3- Home Alone
I think everyone loves to watch home alone at this time of year. Its one of those films that I never actually think about watching but I always find it on TV somewhere and end up watching it. This films also reminds me of my childhood.
4- Miracle on 34th Street
Miracle on 34th Street is the must see film this time of year. I love to watch this film and often watch it more than once. It is the perfect film to put you in the mood for Christmas.
5- The Holiday
The holiday is not always the most typical Christmas film but it is one of those films that I really enjoy watching over the Christmas period because it is very light hearted.
6- Jack Frost
I have watched Jack Frost every year since my sister was brought it one Christmas when we were younger. Even though it starts off really sad; it is still a really great family film to watch.

There are many more Christmas films that I love but these are the ones that I make sure that I watch every year to get me in the Christmas spirit ready for Christmas day.

Grey’s Anatomy Fix

For the last at least 7 years I have been watching Grey’s Anatomy. I think it was my sister who first got me into the show and I haven’t stopped watching it since. This is the only series that I continue to watch and I will always watch the new episodes when they are released in America. All of the other series that I have tried to watch I have given up on them after the first few series apart from prison break. However if prison break did bring out a new series I don’t know how I would feel about that as the last one wasn’t quite as good as the others.
I have always enjoyed watching Grey’s Anatomy and I think this is because when I was younger as at one point I wanted to be a surgeon. Obviously that didn’t happen as I am not very good at science. However watching this show can sometimes make you feel like you could be a surgeon.
My favourite character was always Christina Yang but unfortunately see left a few series back so I think my favourite is now either Alex Karev or Jackson Avery.
Even though some of the story lines feel quite unrealistic you can’t help but enjoy the show because the show is always jam packed with different storylines. Watching new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy is usually my treat on a Friday night for surviving a week of work. So as the new series returned a couple of weeks ago I am going to binge watch them tonight.
If you are looking for a new tv series to watch I would recommend Grey’s Anatomy however there is now 15 series so it could take along time to get through all the episodes.

Week off work :)

So this week I was lucky to have the week off work. I didn’t have much planed but I knew I needed a break so I book a week of annual leave. Work has been really busy this last month and I knew it was only likely to get busier so it was the perfect time to escape and have some me time. I was thinking of going away but instead decided to stay in the UK and go on a few little road trips but also just take some time to relax and try to figure out what my next step was going to be.
I did have an interview towards the start of the week which I was quite nervous about so I was glad to get it out of the way early on in the week. I am one of those people who get ridiculously nervous for an interview so I thought this interview would help to give me a bit more experience. The job was for a similar job to what I do know just in a different location. The interview went really well but I didn’t really get any significant vibes about the position and the way it was portrayed to me made me realise that If I was offered it I would decline it this time because it just didn’t feel right. I am glad that I went however because it has given me a little bit more confidence with interviews and has helped me to figure out what it is I am looking for in employment.
It has been nice to take this week as it comes and not have to rush around every day to make sure everything is done. I have been able to fully relax and enjoy my week off. Luckily my boyfriend had the same week off so we have been able to spend a lot more time together that what we usually do which has been really nice.
I am back to work on Monday which at this very moment I am not looking forward to but I know by the time Monday is here I will be raring to go. I will be back full of energy ready to tackle the week ahead.

Throw Back Thursday – Dublin

Dublin was one of the first weekend breaks that I went on with my boyfriend, I had always wanted to go so we went for a long weekend. Dublin is such a fun loving places that It has a great vibe there. I was so excited to go and it lived up to my expectations.
We stayed in a lovely hotel in the middle of temple bar, it was the perfect location for us as we had easy access to all the areas that we wanted to go too. We used one of those city sights buses to travel around Dublin so we could hop on and off when we wanted to explore somewhere.
We visited the Guinness Factory and Kilmainham Gaol. The Guinness factory was more of my boyfriend’s choice whereas Kilmainham Gaol was where I wanted to do. I love anything crime related so getting to explore the old prison was really fascinating. We had a great time at both places.
On an evening we went and explored the local bars and pub and we were surround by so many talented singers and musicians. There is nothing more that I love than listening to live music.
On our last full day we decided to go on a coach trip to Northern Ireland, it was a spare of the moment trip as we had always wanted to go and see the Giants Causeway so even though the journey was quite long we decided it was worth the trip. Seeing the Giants Causeway was amazing and we even got to see the Dark Hedges from Game of Thrones on the way as well.
Dublin is one of my favourite places that I have visited purely because the energy there is amazing. There is so much to do and see and there is live music around every corner.

Take Bake Tuesday – Fraser Island

A few years ago when I was travelling in Australia I went one of their trips to Fraser Island. I went on my own and it was one of the last trips that I did before coming back to the UK. This was the first trip that I had done in Australia on my own and I was quite nervous because I did have to travel to a different part of Australia for the trip. Travelling around Australia is super easy though as there are loads of coach companies you can use.
The trip to Fraser island consisted of camping on the island with a group of people and driving around to different areas of the island using 4×4’s. I had seen pictures of the island and it looked amazing so I knew it was something I needed to do before I returned home. As I had gone on this trip on my own I was super nervous because I didn’t know anyone but I soon realised there was a lot of people in the same situation as me. We were split into groups of 8 and these were the people who you would be camping with and those who you would share the car with.
We went to the local supermarkets before we left to stock up of food for the next few days and then we set off to find Fraser island. We drove though the forests and along the beach. Our car did at one point get stuck in the sand but luckily we were able to get out. We visited Lake McKenzie, the champagne pools, Lake Wabby and Eli Creek. We also visited Indian Head where the views were amazing and we also stopped by the Maheno Shipwreck. We had BBQ’s on an evening and enjoyed watching the sun set and rise on the beach.
This was a once in a lifetime trip and It was truly an amazing experience and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

Take Back Tuesday….Croatia

This time last year I was looking forward to booking a holiday, I had no idea where I was going to go but I knew that I fancied going somewhere I hadn’t visited before. I ended up going to Croatia and stayed in Sibenik. I hadn’t heard much about Sibenik apart from that Game of Thrones had been filmed there. The photos looked amazing so I was really excited to go.
The hotel that I said at was amazing I didn’t realise when I booked but it turned out that there was 5 hotels joined together and there was also a campsite in the middle of the resort. There was lots of swimming pools and restaurants available to use. The resort was right on the beach and I spent most of the days there chilling on the beach.
The sea was the clearest bluest blue I have ever seen and I couldn’t look at it without feeling like I wanted to jump in.
I explored Sibenik town which was really interesting, there was loads of small alleys and cute little shops to look around. I went to see if I recognised any parts from Game of Thrones which I did.
I went on a boat trip to Krka National Park which was really enjoyable. The boat ride was a lot of fun and the Krka National Park was breath taking. I got to go in the river and see the amazing waterfalls. I have never been anywhere quite like this but the views were amazing.
Croatia was one of the most beautiful countries I have ever been too and I would definitely like to go again sometime in the near future.
