One of the happiest moments is when you find the courage to let go of what you can’t change.
There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.
Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being excited about what could go right.
Great things never came from comfort zones.
Back around April time this year I started to listen to “The Healing Power of Ayahuasca” by Marc McLean. This book looks at 16 different accounts where people had been failed by western medicine and they decided to turn to the mysterious plant medicine Ayahuasca.
Ayahuasca the hallucinogenic plant medicine that has been used for thousands of years in the Amazonian jungle.
Marc McLean talks about how the medicine saved him at the lowest point of his life. Ayahuasca gifted him a level of emotional and psychological healing he’d never have achieved in a lifetime of therapy.
The 16 people share how they have healed a multitude of illnesses and issues through ayahuasca, including PTSD, depression, sexual abuse trauma, eating disorders, crippling fear, chronic health problems and more.
Ayahuasca helps people to discover who they really are.
Ayahuasca is generally not something that pops up in every day conversation and is not something that a lot of people tend to know about. I did not know anything about it until the start of the year but now it seems to come up in a lot of conversations I have and I have even been shown retreats to go to in order to experience the medicine. Ayahuasca is something that is getting more popular as more people are looking towards alternative medicines rather than western medicine.
Even if you know nothing about Ayahuasca I would recommend this book as the stories are so inspiring and it shows you the power the medicine can have and how it can help to improve so many lives.
The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.
I recently listened to Ego is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday on audible.
The book talks about our most common enemy; the ego. The book looks at how our ego is holding us back in every day life.
The books talks about arrange of people journeys to success by conquering their own egos. The book helps to show you how your own ego is getting in the way of your success and future.
I found this book really interesting and really enjoyed the use of other peoples stories to show how powerful the ego can be. It made me realise that even in the smallest of situations your ego can still take over and hold you back.
