Christmas Film Favourites

One of my favourite things about Christmas is watching Christmas films. When it is cold outside I love nothing more than getting cosy and watching a Christmas film. Over the years I have watched many Christmas films but here is a list of a few of my favourite ones:-
1- The Grinch
The Grinch is one of my most favourite Christmas films so much so that every year for Christmas my mom buys me Grinch Christmas pyjamas. If you haven’t seen already Primark always has really nice Grinch pyjamas. I have always loved watching the Grinch as it is a good feel good film and I usually leave this to watch on Christmas Eve Night.
2- Annabelle’s Wish
Annabelle’s Wish is one of those films that nobody else has ever heard of. It was a film that I was brought one Christmas when I was younger that I loved so much that I make sure that I watch it most years even now. It is a cartoon film about a cow called Annabelle who wants to be a reindeer. It is a super cute film for young children.
3- Home Alone
I think everyone loves to watch home alone at this time of year. Its one of those films that I never actually think about watching but I always find it on TV somewhere and end up watching it. This films also reminds me of my childhood.
4- Miracle on 34th Street
Miracle on 34th Street is the must see film this time of year. I love to watch this film and often watch it more than once. It is the perfect film to put you in the mood for Christmas.
5- The Holiday
The holiday is not always the most typical Christmas film but it is one of those films that I really enjoy watching over the Christmas period because it is very light hearted.
6- Jack Frost
I have watched Jack Frost every year since my sister was brought it one Christmas when we were younger. Even though it starts off really sad; it is still a really great family film to watch.

There are many more Christmas films that I love but these are the ones that I make sure that I watch every year to get me in the Christmas spirit ready for Christmas day.

Festive Season

It’s December tomorrow so please can we start getting excited about Christmas?

Christmas is my favourite time of year so I’m excited to be able to share some of my Christmas traditions with you during the month of December. Even though we have not yet reached December the Christmas spirit has already started to take over me. I may have even put a small Christmas tree up in the office this week.
I think the thing I like most about Christmas is the joy that it brings. I know that not everyone celebrates Christmas but in general the level of happiness seems to be higher around this time of year and it almost starts to feel a little bit magical.
I went to my first Christmas market of the year a couple of weeks ago; it was the Victorian Market in Gloucester. I wasn’t sure if it was a bit early to go to a Christmas market but I really enjoyed it. There was load of different stalls to look around and lots of food to try. When it started to get dark and the Christmas lights were on and I could hear Christmas music it was just perfect. I really enjoyed the market and hope to visit a few more during the run up to Christmas. I think there may be one in Worcester this weekend so I may go and see what that one is like.
Over the next few weeks I am going to be writing about my favourite Christmas films, Christmas foods, gift ideas, traditions and many more Christmas things so please do stop by and check them out 🙂

As I am sure everyone in the UK is aware, we have recently had our second batch of snow this winter. I was starting to prepare for spring as the weather was getting slightly warmer and the days were getting lighter but then we were hit with more snow and it feels like we are now back in the midst of winter.

I do love snow as there is something quite exciting about it. You almost start to get the Christmassy feel again and everything looks 10 times prettier.  There is nothing more that I enjoy than being cosy and watching a film when it is snowing outside. Although if it was for longer than a couple of days I’m sure I would be going insane from not being able to go out.

I was lucky enough to be able to have a day off on Friday due to the weather conditions as the roads were quite dangerous to drive on. So this time round I made the most of it and had so much fun making a snowman and having a snowball fights with family. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the dogs running around in the snow as it was the first time one of them had properly been out in the snow.

However it didn’t last too long as the rain has made an appearance today and the snow is slowly starting to disappear and the sight of spring is that little bit closer. Spring has to be one of my favourite seasons, everything just feels better and brighter after what seems like a long winter. The days start to feel longer and friends start to appear from where they have been hibernating over the last few months.  But most importantly you can finally get rid of the frumpy jumpers and start to wear the cute summer clothes again! (don’t get me wrong I love a jumper… just not all year round) There is just generally a lot more going on and there is a touch of excitement in looking forward to the Summer and seeing what fun it will bring with it.

Bring on Spring!!!
